Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect plays a key role in the realization of our mission to grow the next generation of technologically advanced banking solutions. We are seeking a forward-thinking, strategic leader who can bridge the gap between business requirements and the implementation of technology solutions. 

YOUR ROLE

You will architect and lead the technical and functional solution design of greenfield enterprise applications, overseeing the product innovation, enhancement and integration of cloud-based platforms. 

Another important aspect of the role will be to drive implementation of technology strategy, mentor technical teams, and evangelize best practices across the organization.

Technical Competencies

• Contribute in aligning the organization’ enterprise priorities to architecture design, and guide the advancement of the current architecture environment to support future capabilities, capacity and scalability.
• Develop solutions that cohesively provide the best employee/customer experience. 
• Champion approved architecture strategies that align solution designs to the target enterprise architecture, emerging trends, and existing technology patterns.
• Proactively address security and performance considerations.
• Resolve complex enterprise IT architecture challenges, mitigate risks, and optimize cost savings and efficiencies

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field. Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of solution, technical, and business architecture experience.
• Expert in Domain Driven Design, Micro-Service Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Application Integration, API Design & Management, Java or .NET
• Expert-level understanding of EAI patterns and hands-on experience with EAI tools such as TIBCO BW, Mulesoft, etc.
• Expert-level understanding of messaging systems and hands-on experience with platforms such as Kafka, MQ Series, TIBCO, etc.
• Prior experience with Salesforce, Jack Henry, nCino, and Online banking products.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Hands-on experience implementing observability solutions such as NewRelic, Graylog, etc.
• Must have a business sense along with a strong technical ability to drive the change.
• Passionate about user interface design, mobile development, and microservice architectures.
• Previous experience successfully leading greenfield SaaS applications.
• Demonstrated experience with Jenkins, GitLab or GitHub, DevOps practices, K8s, Docker, Azure, and Agile practices.
• Experience in designing from scratch.
• Expert in all tiers of modern software architecture (front-end, middleware, API, back-end).
• Experience in Web Services (REST API) and SDK integrations.
• Experienced user of enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks such as TOGAF.
• Experience implementing multiple complex enterprise-level changes simultaneously, including how to guide and measure the adoption of standards.
• Excellent understanding of cloud services architecture, including for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Expertise in application lifecycle management tools and methodologies as well as agile methodologies. Exposure to continuous delivery practices and agile team organization.
• Banking, insurance, or other similar financial services experience strongly preferred.
